Oahu Hotels and Resorts
The three Oahu Hotels and Resorts highlighted before are excellent choices for your next trip to Hawaii.
Aqua Lotus HonoluluA great hotel, but no pool. If you enjoy the ocean enough this is not a problem. This hotel has an incredible view of Diamond Head, Kapiolani Park and the Ocean. A very quiet and peaceful hotel with a friendly and warm staff always available to help with anything you need. Perfect distance away from the busy Waikiki, with a small hotel cafe. Comfortable beds with a happy hour of wine, if you stay here you’ll likely never want to try another place.
The Outrigger Reef on the Beach is very nicely located, the rooms are okay for the price but it is not recommended to pay more for an ocean view. Be prepared for a very crowded pool area, so maybe not the most romantic places to stay, but all in all a nice place. A very helpful staff and great amenities, the breakfast plan comes highly recommended. There are three restaurants to choose from and it is centrally located so you can walk to the beach from the hotel as well as to many activities.
Aulani – A Disney Resort & Spa is a gorgeous property that comes highly recommended. The pool view is beautiful and worth an extra cost – though the room is kind of on the small side. The pools are clean and well serviced with food and bar services. For children this is a haven, they have freedom to swim, get shave ice and drinks (non alcoholic of course) without needing parents to watch them all the time (depending upon age). If going in the winter be warned the pool area is a bit on the chilly side. The beach is perfect, it is part of a lagoon so the large waves do not make it past the rock wall barrier. The food is good as and there are also plenty of other restaurants in the next town over to choose from. Highly recommended.
