Our stay at the Kaha Lani Resort in Kauai was a trip we won’t soon forget. It’s about mid-range in price but has everything you need and would want, from a full kitchen to a gorgeous pool and access to the beach.

Kauai is a much calmer island and some have said their favorite, for us it was indeed our favorite, we have visited all except Maui so far, hope to do that soon, we did get to see it from our cruise ship but the waters were to too dangerous to allow us to tender to land. Kauai we were lucky enough to stay on for about 4 days, and we wished it had been much longer.

We had a condo on the bottom floor, with a comfortable bed and a beautiful view of the pool, palm trees and the ocean. Our only complaint was our condo’s bedroom was on the parking lot side and in the morning it was rather noisy, we wanted to sleep in so this was a bit annoying, if you are an early riser you won’t care.

The pool we had to ourselves on more than one occasion which was lovely, we traveled in mid November and had taken a cruise around all of the islands before ending up in Kauai before our trip home. It was a great way to end the vacation. The cruise was fun but the waters were rough and we were quite pleased to be off and relaxing on the island, having control finally of where we went. The traffic was a bit of a shock during rush hour so I would recommend avoiding driving then if you can. It’s a small island and we did enjoy driving most of it and seeing many of the sites.

We traveled into town a couple of times for a dinner out, but to save money also bought groceries to eat it, the full kitchen was very handy in that. In all The Kaha Lani Resort was probably one of the best places we have stayed in, it comes highly recommended.

The Surfsand Resort is an oceanfront resort is just steps away from the famous Haystack Rock and all of the beautiful coastline views of this gorgeous beach. Having visited this beach every year for the past 10+ years I can say this is one of the best beach locations around. The town is a cozy place, fun to explore and the beach regardless of the weather is one that you will enjoy. Plenty of room to roam, walk, play, fly kites and of course build sandcastles this beach is a favorite for anyone who has been here before it often is one you’ll one to visit again.

The Surfsand Resort is only 70 miles west of Portland and is a full-service resort with guest rooms and suits with a calming vibe that fit well with its surroundings. There are Ipod docs, wi-fi, luxury bath amenities with deep soaking tubs. It has a year round indoor swimming pool and hot tub as well as relaxing massage rooms you can take advantage of. Stay relaxed and in shape in the fitness center that has state of the equipment and Finnish saunas.

For a great dinner visit The Wayfarer Restaurant and lounge that is right on the beach, beautiful views and a romantic setting.

There is a large variety of rooms including beachfront suites, beachfront partial views, beachfront studios and more. Some are pet friendly and some have fireplaces, FIND AND BOOK the room that’s perfect room for you.

Many travelers who have stayed in multiple hotels in Cannon Beach have set this one above all the rest. Cannon Beach is a beautiful place on the Oregon Coast and is highly recommended for everyone. It isn’t always a warm location like the California beaches, but it can have some great moments even when you least expect it. On calm mornings enjoy low tide and find some treasures, visit in June to experience the cool SandCastle Contest.

Great for families or couples The Surfsand Resort is located in the perfect place and will create some great memories.
