For restaurants nearby try Zest and Sushi Rock both offer high quality food you’ll enjoy. Other travel tips: Ask for a yurt away from the pool, they can get hot during the day. There are no TV’s in the yurts, but you’ll likely not miss them. There are only 9 rooms available, all of the them are excellent, some have ocean views some have garden. Be warned if you stay in the yurts there may be rain and wind that could be loud, some find it soothing, it is personal choice. As a yurt lover, I personally enjoy these things, some may prefer the rooms, but the entire retreat is lovely and has something for everyone.

With amazing organic food, and the option for some of the best massages and the chance to learn and enjoy Yoga and Chi-Gong the Hawaii Island Retreat at Ahu Pohaku Ho’omaluhia is a one of a kind getaway. There are Cinnamon Gardenia trees with a fragrance you won’t forget and the grounds are breathtaking. It is also very close to some of the best beaches on the island.
